Life as a Cadet Everything’s About to Change—Starting with You
Life at Fishburne is intentionally structured so Cadets can get the most out of every day. From morning formation to evening study hall, routines are designed to build focus, responsibility, and confidence, while leaving room for connection, growth, and well-earned downtime.
Cadet Life is about more than rules or schedules. It is about living in a community where expectations are clear, effort is recognized, and every Cadet is supported. Whether adjusting as a new Cadet, sharing meals in the Mess Hall, spending weekends off campus, or seeking guidance from the Commandant’s Office, Cadets experience a daily rhythm that reinforces discipline, belonging, and purpose.
What Shapes Daily Life
Every part of Cadet Life works together to support academic success, personal growth, and well-being. These experiences define how Cadets live, learn, and grow throughout the year.
Town passes, approved leave, and optional activities that balance structure with independence.
Cadet Life at Fishburne is designed to be challenging, supportive, and purposeful. It is where habits are formed, friendships are built, and young men learn what it means to belong to something bigger than themselves.
There is always something to do at Fishburne Military School for boys. Aside from homework and study time, cadets are enrolled in U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and can participate in a number of school sports, teams and extracurricular activities.
