Academics with Purpose

At Fishburne, academics are built on more than coursework alone. We teach young men how to think, how to learn, and how to apply what they know with confidence. Study skills, critical thinking, communication, and discipline are woven directly into the classroom experience, so cadets see immediate relevance and real-world value in what they’re learning.
  • English
    English 7-12, Honors English 10-12, and Dual Enrollment Composition.
  • Mathematics
    Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Advanced Algebra, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus.
  • Science
    Life Science, Physical Science, Biology (Honors), Chemistry (Honors and AP), Honors Physics, Environmental Science (Honors).
  • History \ Social Studies
    World Geography, World History, History 10 (Honors), VA and US History, Dual Enrollment US History, VA and US Government (Honors).
  • JROTC Leadership Education
    Pre-Leadership Education Training (8th grade), Leadership Education Training I-IV with a focus on Citizenship, Leadership, Social and Communication Skills, Physical Fitness and Wellness, Geography and Civics.
  • Technology \ STEM Courses
    Computer Applications, 3D Modeling, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Tech Skills (Middle School).
  • World Languages
    Spanish I, II, III. We can proctor language courses online through The Keystone School and Brigham Young University Independent Study.
  • Art
    Art Education offered at The Wayne Theatre
  • Dual Enrollment
    Dual Enrollment courses consist of a full high school academic year of work and are comparable to courses in colleges and universities.

To innovate and create the military school for the twenty first century. One that redefines what it means to graduate young men with the skills to move forward wherever their lives take them with CHARACTER \ KINSHIP \ AGENCY.
Fishburne Military School has earned the US Army’s highest level of accreditation and maintained its designation as a JROTC Honor Unit With Distinction for over 40 years. We may also nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies and host one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
