Financial Aid & Scholarships Making a Fishburne Education Affordable

We know the cost of a private education can feel daunting. Fishburne offers several ways to make attendance more affordable — including need-based grants, merit scholarships, and tuition reductions.

Financial Aid Grants

Need-based grants that do not need to be repaid. Awards are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Aid is not available for the summer session.

  • Required Documents

    • Financial aid application
    • Most recent 1040 tax form
    • (Optional) Letter describing your family’s financial circumstances
  • Review Process

    Once your file is complete, the Financial Aid Committee reviews it weekly. Accepted awards must be confirmed within two weeks and finalized upon receipt of the enrollment deposit.

Leadership for Life Merit Scholarship

Merit-based award for new students demonstrating academic excellence, leadership potential, and a desire to be part of Fishburne’s Corps of Cadets.

  • Candidate Requirements

    • Rising 7th–11th grader applying for the upcoming school year
    • GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Strong communication skills and in-person interview
    • Interest in JROTC, athletics, or campus clubs
    • Desire to uphold the Fishburne Honor Code
  • How to Apply

    • Submit your admission application
    • Schedule an interview with the Admissions Office
    • Apply for financial aid and submit tax documents
    • Await notification from the Admissions Committee

Tuition Reductions

Eligible cadets may receive the following reductions (only one may be applied):

Category Reduction
Grandsons, sons, brothers of alumni $5,000 off yearly tuition*
Sons of active-duty or retired military (20+ years) $5,000 off yearly tuition*
Families with 2+ sons enrolled $2,500 per son
Students with one year of JROTC $1,000
Marching Band Scholarship Up to $2,000

Fishburne Military School has earned the US Army’s highest level of accreditation and maintained its designation as a JROTC Honor Unit With Distinction for over 40 years. We may also nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies and host one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
