Cadet Life > Cadet Life Home

There is always something new to discover and appreciate on our Virginia military school campus.
What does cadet life look like?
Leadership for Life includes leading a
well-rounded life.

Discipline and social responsibility are at the core of the Fishburne experience. But we also want to make sure our students are inspired by other aspects of life too. It starts on campus, where our family-oriented barracks and campus community offer healthy attractions without unwanted distractions. The same is true of Waynesboro, which boasts all the charms of an ideal small town. We’ve also limited the size of our student body so each student gets the personal attention—and oversight—that make him feel confident and helps his parents feel secure.

Religion at FMS
Maintaining Spiritual Health While Pursuing Academic Growth

While religious instruction is not part of the Fishburne Military School curriculum, cadets are welcome practice their faith as part of their “whole man” educational journey. Fishburne recognizes the fact that our families represent a variety of faiths and religious beliefs; therefore, we are happy to provide those interested with opportunities for off-campus spiritual enrichment.

Fishburne is located in the heart of Waynesboro, a small, vibrant Virginia town. The surrounding Augusta County community, including nearby Staunton, provides additional opportunities for faith services. For students seeking opportunities for services outside walking distance, transportation arrangements will be made with faculty, staff or church representatives so that each cadet is able to attend services of his choosing.
