Admissions Information for Prospective Parents
While the majority of cadets enroll at Fishburne for the Fall Semester and stay until graduation in May, the school offers a rolling admissions policy that allows parents to apply throughout the year. Fishburne also offers a nationally ranked Post-Graduate Basketball program and Summer School. Fishburne is a great option for boys who are excelling in high school and want to differentiate their resume for college by adding real leadership experience or participate in a varsity sport. If your son is having trouble learning academic and/or social fundamentals due to any variety of reasons, we also encourage you to contact our Admissions Department and schedule a visit to our school. Our warm and caring faculty and staff at Fishburne are experts at teaching the basics.
Fishburne is happy to accept students who will make a positive impact on the Corps of Cadets, and who possess the skill sets necessary for our academic curriculum and military customs. As an Honor Unit with Distinction, Fishburne can also nominate interested and qualified cadets to our nation's service academies.
Beginning Fall 2010, Apple iPads will be used within the classroom. In tandem with our uniquely small class sizes, your son will be much more equipped for college than if he had attended a public school or a majority of other private schools. Our goal is to equip your son with the academic resume he needs to get into a great college or university and be successful once he's been enrolled.
While military school may be a new consideration for both you and your son, we've been doing this successfully for a long time. Over the years we've produced thousands of outstanding alumni in all business sectors that remain active with the school as graduates. Our alumni hold key leadership positions in fields including law, medicine, business, entertainment, politics and the military. A former governor of Virginia as well as a Nobel Prize winner are Fishburne graduates.

Why Private School?
Fishburne's student centered style of teaching is based on providing plenty of chances for young men feel what success is like by offering up plenty of praise and positive affirmation.
