Fishburne Named One of Virginia's Top All-Boys High Schools by Niche
Niche has once again recognized Fishburne as one of the top all-boys schools in the Commonwealth.
Fishburne Military School has been ranked #6 in the 2027 Best All-Boys High Schools in Virginia by Niche, a national leader in school rankings and data-driven insights. This marks the eighth consecutive year Fishburne has placed among the top all-boys schools in the Commonwealth.
Niche rankings draw on academic data, student and family reviews, and measures of school culture and outcomes. For Fishburne families and alumni, the recognition confirms what they see every day: a school where structure builds confidence, academics prepare cadets for college, and a close-knit community makes sure no young man goes unnoticed.
"Boys do their best work when someone believes in them and holds them to a high standard," said Colonel Randal Brown (VA), Fishburne President. "This recognition belongs to our faculty and staff, who show up for our cadets in the classroom, in the barracks, and on the field every single day."
Fishburne has been committed to educating boys since 1879. Its program blends college-preparatory academics with a leadership-centered structure that helps cadets develop discipline, resilience, and the confidence to lead well beyond graduation.
To provide each cadet with a sound academic foundation, a healthy mental and physical environment, and leadership training for a better understanding of the obligations of honor, citizenship, and self-discipline.
Fishburne Military School has earned the US Army’s highest level of accreditation and maintained its designation as a JROTC Honor Unit With Distinction for over 40 years. We may also nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies and host one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
