Leadership for Life Scholarship
The Leadership for Life Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who wish to pursue their educational goals in a military school environment and have demonstrated superior academic excellence (3.0 GPA or above) along with an aptitude for leadership. Appropriate candidates are identified during the Admissions process and eligibility is considered during the in person interview. Admissions will communicate chosen recipients to the financial aid committee for the final award offer. The Leadership for Life Scholarship is given in addition to any financial aid the family qualifies for and amount is contingent upon strength of applicant and the family's financial situation. This scholarship is for new students only.
**Please submit a Financial Aid application in conjunction with an Application for Admission. A financial aid offer will not be extended until your student has completed the Admissions Process and been accepted to the school.

Eligible cadets can receive one of the following tuition reductions:
$5,000 for sons, brothers, or grandsons of a confirmed Fishburne Military School alumnus or other military school that is or has been a member of the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS)
$5,000 per year for sons of active duty military service personnel, including all of the armed services, the National Guard, and all Armed Forces Reserve Units; sons of veterans who have retired from any of the Armed Forces, National Guard, or Armed Forces Reserve Units after twenty years (or more) of active military service
$2,500 per year per son enrolled for families with two or more sons in attendance during the same year
$1,000 for the first year of attendance for students with a minimum of one year participation in a JROTC program, prior to enrollment at Fishburne
*These discounts are prorated based upon other discounts or scholarships and the period of enrollment. Day students are offered reductions amounting to one-half of the amounts afforded to boarding students.
Several scholarships, up to $2,000, are offered to students who are able to play in the marching band. The recipient of a Band Scholarship must participate in band for the entire year. The scholarship is applied to the last payment due the school, based on the payment plan selected.

Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of the military schools in Virginia for boys. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS is designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
