As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are dedicated to doing all we can to provide a Fishburne Education for as many young men as possible.

FMS offers need-based financial aid as well as tuition reductions, scholarships, and k-12 student loan options to make a private school education more affordable.

In order to fit your family's needs, Fishburne Military School provides the following options: 

2019-2020 Tuition

  • Boarding - $34,000
  • 5-Day - $30,000
  • Day - $15,700
  • International - $41,900
  • Student services account - $1,500
  • Uniform Fee - $2,000 - 1st year only

  • Summer Boarding - $3,890
  • Summer Day - $2,330
  • Student services account - $250

Leadership for Life Scholarship

The Leadership for Life Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who wish to pursue their educational goals in a military school atmosphere and have demonstrated superior academic excellence along with an aptitude for leadership.

**Please submit a Financial Aid application in conjunction with an Application for Admission. A financial aid offer will not be extended until your student has completed the Admissions Process and been accepted to the school. 

Payment Plans

We offer Semester and Monthly payment plans. 

Flexible payment plans puts Fishburne's world-class education, innovative, college-prep courses, unique leadership opportunities and exceptional athletics programs within the reach of any family.

Tuition Reductions

Eligible cadets can receive one of the following tuition reductions:

  • $5,000 for sons, brothers, or grandsons of a confirmed Fishburne Military School alumnus or other military school that is or has been a member of the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS)
  • $5,000 per year for sons of active duty military service personnel, including all of the armed services, the National Guard, and all Armed Forces Reserve Units; sons of veterans who have retired from any of the Armed Forces, National Guard, or Armed Forces Reserve Units after twenty years (or more) of active military service
  • $2,500 per year per son enrolled for families with two or more sons in attendance during the same year
  • $1,000 for the first year of attendance for students with a minimum of one year participation in a JROTC program, prior to enrollment at Fishburne

*These discounts are prorated based upon other discounts or scholarships and the period of enrollment. Day students are offered reductions amounting to one-half of the amounts afforded to boarding students.

Band Scholarships

Several scholarships, up to $2,000, are offered to students who are able to play in the marching band. The recipient of a Band Scholarship must participate in band for the entire year. The scholarship is applied to the last payment due the school, based on the payment plan selected.

Benefits for Sons of Veterans

Fishburne Military School has been approved by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, State Approving Agency to provide education and training to eligible students under Chapter 35 of Title 38, U.S. Code. Please contact the Business Office for details at (540) 946-7700 ext 102.
