Teaching a love of sports and fitness!
The Summer Athletics camps at Fishburne Military School provide area youth with positive outlets and active menotring. Activities are available for nearly all grade and experience levels.
Coach Terry Waters' Youth Wrestling Camp
June 9 - 13: CAMP IS FULL Overnight Camp for 7th - 12th Graders
Coach Waters has run his Youth Wrestling camps for over 30 years. He is among the state's winningest wrestling coaches. He has coached 12 state champions, 22 state runners-up, and has been named coach of the year eight times. Prior to coming to Fishburne Military School, he was an assistant coach at Washington and Lee University.
June 3 - 7: Kids U7 through U14 (9am - Noon) June 10 - 14: Kids age 5 through U7 (5pm - 8pm)
: Play fun training games, learn soccer skills, make new friends! Five-day (Monday-Friday) recreational soccer day camp. No playing experience required. Fun learning activities, and lots of games. Players receive a camp t-shirt and soccer ball.
SOCA Augusta 1v1-5v5 Tournament Evening Camp is a NEW camp for Augusta to build skills, fun and confidence through small-sided competition for U7 through U14 (born 005-2011)!
June 6 - 8 *Kids Camp for grades 4-7 from 8am unitl Noon *Skills Camp fo grades 8-12 from 1pm until 5pm
These Camps are organized and led by NBA Trainer John Williams who will be training and evaluating all campers. Once the camps are done, players will be emailed an evaluation of their level of play, their strengths and weaknesses. This camp will concentrate on: Ball Handling; Shooting; Mechanics; Footwork; Defense; Base Attacks & Finishes; and Conditioning.
Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of the military schools in Virginia for boys. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS is designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
