There is always something to do at Fishburne Military School for boys. Aside from homework and study time, cadets are enrolled in U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and can participate in a number of school sports, teams and extracurricular activities.

Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of the military schools in Virginia for boys. Its college-prep curriculum is built upon the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS is designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation, accredited by US Army Cadet Command.
