Area Business Man Delivers Junior Achievement Ethics Presentation to Corps

Fishburne Military School (Waynesboro, VA) welcomes Junior Achievement speaker, Benjamin Bowman, Jr., to address Corps of Cadets on ethics. Mr. Bowman left the cadets with three statements: have an attitude of servitude; believe in the organization’s mission; and, never become satisfied.

FMS Announces October Cadet Awards

Cadet Justin Tomayer was named Fishburne Military School’s Cadet of the Month, Cadet Donald Cravins III was named Fishburne Military School’s Cadet Officer of the Month, and Cadet Myles Hurlbut was named Non-Commissioned Officer of the Month. Charlie company earned Company of the Month honors. The announcement was made before the entire assembled Corps.

FMS Key Clubbers Show “Spirit”

Twenty members of the Fishburne Military School Key Club got into the spirit of the season on Saturday by volunteering their time at the Second Annual Waynesboro Public Library “Haunted Library”. The event drew over 400 parents and children, nearly all dressed in their own Halloween costumes.

FMS CyberPatriots Connect with JMU Cybersecurity

Waynesboro, VA – The Fishburne Military School CyberPatriot Team, coming off a 2nd Place finish in last year’s National round, is looking to continue building upon their successes. On Friday, the team held a practice round and conducted a Skype conversation with Lt. Hickey and Cadet Wallace of the James Madison University Cybersecurity club.

FMS Cadet Leaders Attend AUSA’s Annual Meeting

The Cadets were able to tour the exhibition hall and see presentations from over 700 military contractors. Cadet Sebastian Hussain (Centreville, VA), said later “this was really a great chance for senior Cadet Leadership to spend some time together having fun and seeing some really interesting things. There was so much technology on display that we were all really impressed.”

FMS Rocketeers Launch New Season of TARC

This year TARC will commemorate the Apollo-11 mission with an altitude goal of 856 feet (the time Neal Armstrong set foot on the moon) and cargo requirement of three eggs (one for each astronaut). The Fishburne Military School rockets will also sport three chutes, as in the Apollo mission, and will be graded on designs most closely reminiscent of the Saturn-V.

FMS Announces Monthly Cadet Awards

Fishburne Military School officially announced its monthly Cadet Awards winners for September 2018. Cadet award winners are selected by a board of Cadet Officers, and approved by the Commandant of Cadets. A Cadet award winner is selected based upon his academic, military and community achievements throughout the previous month.

FMS Holds Blessing of the Colors

The assembled Corps of Cadets, Faculty, Staff, members of the FMS Family and friends of the school filled Lawton Chapel for what many call the most meaningful and poignant ceremony of the year. The annual Blessing of the Colors “marks once again the joining together of a group of fine young men into a unified force for good, under their own personal banner.”

Fishburne Sends Two to Boys State Virginia

This year Fishburne Military School was honored to have two Cadets participate in the American Legion’s 76th session of Virginia Boys State at Radford University. The annual event brings hand-selected students from around the state together for a week-long, intensive session of practical training in the mechanics of citizenship and governance.

Nine Caissons Score in Home Victory Over Massanutten

Nine Caissons Scored as FMS Soccer Blasted Massanutten. Fishburne Military School’s Varsity Soccer (1-2) hosted Massanutten Academy on a soggy Anderson Field Friday, September
7th over a comfortable evening. Caissons Varsity is next scheduled to host New Covenant at Anderson Field at 4:30pm Tuesday, September 11th.
