Boy Scouts of America at FMS
Fishburne Military School’s
Boy Scout Troop #1879
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
Following this model, the Boy Scouts of America has provided adventure and leadership training to young men in the USA since 1910 (predating even Army JROTC). Scouting, JROTC and Fishburne Military School combine to offer young men numerous, rewarding and positive leadership opportunities throughout their cadetships.
This additional opportunity for young men to explore their unique interests and talents adds a very special component to leadership training at Fishburne Military School. Cadets in BSA Troop #1879 learn valuable, life-long lessons including good citizenship, respect for our natural resources, outdoorsmanship, CPR and other life-saving skills.
