MSG William Morton

JROTC Army Instructor

My dedication speaks for itself. I get inspired when I watch the cadets I teach take charge of the Corps. This school can turn young boys into young men and I’m happy to be part of that transformation.

I spent 20 years in the U.S. Army and have participated in Private Leadership Development Course, Leadership Development Course; Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course; Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course; Airborne; Air Assault; Ranger; Drill SGT; Long range surveillance unit; Equal Employment Opportunity Program; Small Unit Arms, LRSMED; Long range surveillance Survival School; Synchronized Operations Command Center; Joint Special Operations Command.

Awards include: Meritorious Service Medal (3), Good Conduct (7), Overseas (3), Army Achievement (7), Commendation (3), NCO Development (3)

My education includes Troy State, Rio Salado where I earned an Associate degree in Applied Science.

At work, I watch cadets as they change and grow. Maybe that’s why I enjoy gardening in my free time; it’s kind of like the same process. I also like building things and cars of all kinds. MSG Morton has been the FMS Rappel Master for the last 10 years. He is also a 1st Responder Instructor for the Corps of Cadets and a CDL school bus driver for the school past 15 years.
